Organic-wine specialist Klaas Coetzee for many years was production chief of Stellar Winery on the West Coast, with an own after-hours, small-batch venture there named Matzikama. He’s now moved to Paarl and, in rented space, making wine under this new label, ‘Journey’ in Swahili. He’s joined on a ‘voyage du vin’ by Swiss national Sandro Bertuol, whom he met on safari and befriended some time ago. Modern, New World-style wine, certified organic, vegan friendly and with no sulphites added, is the destination.
