The annual Simonsberg Wine Route Market Day on Sunday, 10 March 2013 will see more than 20 estates descend on Delvera agri-village to share their latest wines and way of life with wine lovers who want to soak up the last bit of summer fun.

The all-ages family day features the finest wines from the Simonsberg area, country food, craft stalls with local produce, horse rides and live music by Newton & Co. The younger crowd will have barrels of fun in the Play Corner, with go-cart rides, a trampoline, jungle gym, and a snake and reptile show.

Other highlights include interactive and insightful tutored wine classes hosted at The Vineyard Connection. These tailor-made sessions cater for novices and seasoned wine enthusiasts alike, and cost R50 per person. Booking is essential. All proceeds will be donated to the Pebbles Project, a non-profit organisation that supports children living in the winelands. Call +27 (0)21-884-4360 to book your wine class and contribute to a good cause.

The Simonsberg Wine Route Market Day starts at 09:00 and entry is free. Delvera Estate is situated on the R44 between Stellenbosch and Klapmuts.
