The taste-off will allow winelovers to sample the differences between the wines of long-established Constantia and Cape Point, and relatively new Elgin and Bot River, washed down with 1kg servings of Den Anker’s signature dish, succulent mussels served with crisp frites and mustard-enhanced mayonnaise.

Representing the Cape Peninsula team will be Groot Constantia, Constantia Glen, Constantia Uitsig, Beau Constantia, Buitenverwachting, Steenberg Vineyards and Cape Point Vineyards. Team Elgin/Bot River will include Catherine Marshall Wines, Shannon Vineyards, Paul Cluver Wines, Iona Wines, Oak Valley Wines, Luddite Wines and Almenkerk Wine Estate.

Tickets include 1kg of fresh mussels, souvenir wine glass and wine tastings. Live entertainment by Liquid Sax. Tickets cost R190 per person and are available through Webtickets. No under 18s.
