A gala Wine Harvest Commemorative Function is being staged on 5 February 2015 at historic wine farm Groot Constantia, where the upcoming harvest heralds the 330th year of uninterrupted winemaking, and you could join in the celebrations courtesy of the organisers and Platter's Guide.
Initiated by Groot Constantia’s independent board of trustees, tasked since 1993 with running the property as a national cultural and viticultural asset, the black-tie event takes place at the estate’s Simon’s Restaurant.
Guests will enjoy a sumptuous three-course meal paired with Groot Constantia’s finest wines to the accompaniment of live music. This will be interspersed with devotional moments in anticipation of a successful harvest: traditional prayers and blessings offered up by winegrowers across the world.
