More than 30 bubbly producers are showcasing a selection of their finest méthode cap classique at the inaugural KwaZulu-Natal Bubbly Celebration at Makaranga Lodge in Kloof and The Piggly Wiggly at Howick in The Midlands on 27 and 28 April.

Award-winners such as the Colmant Brut Reserve, Simonsig Kaapse Vonkel, the 40-year-young grande dame of South African traditional-method sparkling, and Graham Beck Brut, chosen as a celebrator by US president Barack Obama, as well as more niche bubblies such as Morena, Domaine des Dieux and Silverthorn will be available for tasting.

Tickets for both venues are R180 per person, including complimentary bubbly glass and 10 tasting coupons. Food is available to buy, and you can purchase your favourite bubbly to take home after the tasting.
